Weekend...Easter Blessings

Our Easter was so full of activity. I tried to pick just a few, but here are several pictures of our festivities!

We spent the weekend at my in-laws, but my mom and dad sent us some goodies anyway. Here are those Easter baskets, from an earlier post, filled with some surprises.

I love making cards and have a thing for ribbon, both of which were in my basket.

Easter is a wonderful time for beautiful flowers. We brought these to my in-laws.

On Saturday morning I had breakfast with some gals from college.

We played bocce ball.

We even dyed Easter eggs.

Here are the finished products.

This is a shot from the front sidewalk at my in-laws. Right where the sun is coming up is a little church where I think people were pulling in for a "Sunrise Service." I went back to bed after I took this picture and slept for a few more hours. Our service didn't start until 10:00.

These tulips opened right up. Perhaps they were celebrating Jesus too!

And our last big Easter activity was an egg hunt. Yes, we adults poked around looking for plastic eggs. I even had to race to get one.

There were 89 altogether...

...and I found two prize eggs!

Overall, it was a pleasant weekend and a time to reflect on Christ's love for us. He died for our sins and we should celebrate His sacrifice by giving ourselves to Him. All the Easter baskets and Eggs in the world can't compare to His greatness!
