Do you like Chinese food?

...then you would love the recipe my husband and I use for Cashew Chicken. We stumbled across this recipe in a "30 Minutes or Less" cookbook from Better Homes and Gardens. So, it's quick AND delicious!

The strangest ingredient in the recipe is Oyster Sauce. It smells terrible, but is one of the most important ingredients in the sauce.

The sauce also has soy sauce, brown sugar, water and cornstarch. It is runny to start with, but thickens into a scrumptious, gooey texture.

The recipe calls for chile peppers, but we often have to settle for jalapenos, which are also very delicious. They are both very hot varieties, which you need to use rubber gloves to handle.

Of course you can't have "Cashew Chicken" without cashews.

Doesn't it look like a restaurant dish?

So, my husband told me this last picture was complete corn, but I decided to post it anyway. He is such a good man to pose in it for me.
