Taco Lasagna

What a yummy meal! This is one of our new favorites from a Taste of Home cookbook we have. There are so many yummy ingredients and we upped the game this time by adding red and yellow peppers...which are so colorful when mixed in with the green!

I totally forgot to see if you can get already sliced olives. We had to slice em' ourselves. Aw well!

It was delicious!

Herbs and Dinner

I planted an herb garden not too long ago and finally decided to edit some pictures of it.

After a really long day, I used some of these lovely herbs for our dinner.   It's been awhile since I posted one of our meals. This was a scrumptiously marinated chicken with peppers and onions; potatoes with fresh herbs, parm and feta; and greens beans with butter and garlic salt.

Plus, I bought some fresh fruit this week; a healthy dessert!

Father's Day

We visited my parents last weekend and decided to celebrate Father's Day a week early so I made a cake there. It was a white cake, from scratch (it's the first time I've done that), with  raspberry filling!

Of course I took pictures, which my mom even helped me with!
My mom took this one : )

Happy Father's Day dads! Have a great weekend!

Connections in Connecticut

Last weekend we visited some of my awesome relatives in Connecticut. My cousin and his kids (who were in our wedding), let us come up with my parents and, of course, we had a great time!

We were so impressed by Zach and Savannah who have really awesome talents and great personalities! They both play instruments; Zach plays baseball and Savannah is a prima ballerina.

When it came to taking pictures, Savannah jumped at every opportunity to smile for the camera, but I had to be a little less obvious to get some shots of Zach. Here are a few....
